The wedding package offers the castle, grounds, Barnquee and Applestore as the bare bones (albeit extremely luxurious and outstandingly beautiful bones!!). The ‘meat’ which fills out the wedding comes from the guests and suppliers. The choices of catering, floristry, entertainment, outfits, cakes, photographers, videographers…..the list can literally be endless. From the large components, down to the finest details the control is 100% with the wedding party and for this reason, each wedding is wonderfully unique and a direct reflection of the couple’s personalities, love, quirks and sensibilities.  Pop all of this onto the stunning backdrop of Myres Castle and BOOM…you are onto a winner every time.

The versatility of Myres is echoed through the guests we welcome. We have hosted guests from around the world, as well as just down the road! As a destination wedding venue Myres gives you and your guests a true taste of Scottish Castle living, and for Scottish wedding couples closer to home it is one of the few places that you can get away with wearing a full kilt get up and not feel overdressed! April 15th, 2017 saw local couple Lynsey and Jon come to Myres for a glamour filled wedding weekend.  Followed closely on May 6th, 2017 by Courtney and Doug who reside in London and make up an American/Scottish duo.  Having wed in New York back in 2016 Myres was their chosen venue for their Scottish nuptials.

Myres weddings are like snowflakes, each individual one is unique and beautiful in its own way, so complex but seemingly effortless.  Each wedding has its own vibe; relaxed, laid back and casual or full on wild party mania, Myres as a wedding venue has the ability to fit the needs of many and make dreams come true. Unless your dream is to go Llama trekking in South America or do a tandem sky dive with Brad Pitt…we have our limits!
